Central Alberta's Leading Energy Service Company Acquires Le-Jay Trucking:

Foothills Energy Services Ltd. is a multi service provider for the Oil & Gas industries based in central Alberta.
In August 2006, Foothills Energy Services Ltd. purchased Le-Jay Trucking based in Eckville Alberta. Le-Jay Trucking, a tank truck company focuses on hauling produced fluids from oil & gas well sites throughout central Alberta to either pipeline terminals, disposal wells, recycling plants, or oil processing facilities. These fluids include; crude oil (both sweet and sour), condensate (sweet and sour), produced water, fresh water, and other mixed oilfield fluids used in well workovers etc. Le-Jay Trucking has enjoyed a 28 year history in the extremely competitive central Alberta marketplace prior to being purchased by Foothills Energy Services Ltd.

Fluid Hauling And Handling...

Foothills Energy Services Ltd. considers fluid hauling and handling as a core competency and is currently expanding this service through addition of new staff and the purchase of more equipment. Foothills Energy Services is also exploring merger and acquisition opportunities with other companies that supply these services.

Environmental & Earthworks along with Asset Management Services

Following a “business solutions” model, Foothills has recently added Environmental & Earthworks and Asset Management services to complement the fluid handling side of the business.

The focus of the Environmental & Earthworks division is to offer customers; gravel, dirt, and clay hauling. Road, lease, and berm repairs. Spill containment and cleanup.

Asset Management includes:
Transportation logistics; The application of pre-planning strategies during the dispatching process to minimize transportation costs, risk of production slowdowns, or risk of environmental spills. Coordination of unloading access is also optimized through real time communications.
Also included; is a concentrated effort to identify on site opportunities to shorten load and unload times. These observations are captured and communicated back to respective Operations groups.
